Meet the Team

David White – World Spar Service

David has an extensive rigging career with leading edge experience at the forefront of technology in both performance and superyacht rig service. He has been involved in the development of the service programme using his extensive knowledge of the industry and his personal enthusiasm for the technology. David has a global reputation in all aspects of rigging spanning the complete yachting spectrum. He has also been a rigger for three America’s Cup campaigns, as well as being a crew-member and rig supervisor for several Whitbread and Volvo campaigns.

“Rigging is unquestionably one of the most important aspects of any sailing yacht and probably one of the most misunderstood. A superyacht mast is an intricately designed and engineered product, made up of custom component parts working to power the yacht through a myriad of conditions for both performance and pleasure. The technologically advanced properties of PBO are one of the most exciting changes for yacht design and perhaps one of the last frontiers to radically affect our industry. Future Fibres has been at the forefront and continues to excel in their commitment to custom care for their clients and provides the ultimate composite rigging solution.”

Tim Haynes – THL Yacht Riggers

With a career in the marine industry that spans more than 25 years, Tim has always been involved with rigging of large yachts. He has an established well-founded reputation through his role as Managing Director of THL Yacht Riggers, now a leading rigging company with an international reputation. Like David, his experience in the market is unquestionable, having been involved in America’s Cup campaigns, in addition to many ocean and transatlantic challenges and crossings, and he has supervised grand prix and superyacht rig programmes since 1988.

“The dedicated and personalised Future Fibres Superyacht Service Programme is totally in line with the THL view of the market today. It is designed with a proactive approach to rig maintenance in mind, using a small network of superyacht riggers. This ensures regular scheduled maintenance is carried out and provides a system for regular communication to resolve any problems as they crop up.”
